AutoLoan.nz is a New Zealand vehicle finance comparison and introduction website. We provide calculators, general information and comparison tools to help people understand possible car finance repayments and borrowing scenarios.

AutoLoan.nz is not a lender, credit provider or finance broker. We do not assess or approve finance applications, make lending decisions, set your final interest rate, or provide loan funds. Finance applications are handled by our trusted partner, Simplify Finance.

Depending on how you use AutoLoan.nz, we may collect personal information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, vehicle or finance preferences, employment or income information, and other details entered into an enquiry form.

Our calculators may process amounts such as income, expenses, loan amount, interest rate, deposit and loan term to produce estimates. Calculator inputs are not necessarily linked to you personally unless you submit them with identifying information or continue into an enquiry process.

We may also collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referral source, cookie identifiers and website interaction data for security, performance and analytics purposes.

We collect and use personal information only where it is reasonably necessary for our services. This may include operating our website and calculators, responding to enquiries, helping you begin a finance enquiry with Simplify Finance, maintaining website security, preventing misuse, measuring website performance, improving our services, keeping records, and meeting legal obligations.

Providing personal information to AutoLoan.nz is generally voluntary. However, if you do not provide information required for a particular enquiry, we may be unable to provide that part of the service or refer your enquiry to Simplify Finance.

These providers act as service providers to AutoLoan.nz and are not recipients of your finance enquiry for lending or marketing.

If information has already been referred to Simplify Finance, you may also need to contact Simplify Finance directly about information it holds.

We generally aim to collect personal information directly from you. If AutoLoan.nz collects personal information about you from another source, we will take reasonable steps to notify you as required by Information Privacy Principle 3A of the Privacy Act 2020, unless an exception applies.
